Here is a list of products that we LOVED during pregnancy and throughout the years. If you know me, you know that I am crazy about research and did so excessively when we became pregnant and continue to do so for almost every purchase. This is because I only want the best for our family.
For products and services to make this list they have to not only be good, but in my eyes considered ‘GREAT.’ To be ’GREAT’ they either have to fall in one of these categories:
- Provided a service that made our lives easier in some way, shape or form
- Feel that now we can’t live without it
- Extremely well-made or great quality (this will be listed after a certain time frame of using the product)
- Made our baby extremely happyYou can buy most of these products from my Amazon baby store of recommended products. Click here.
Amazon.com
First, if you are not a member of the Amazon Mom program, you should be. You can sign up here. Amazon put together this program for mothers (fathers, grandparents, etc) that are taking care of little ones and may find it difficult to be running out of the house to pick up items. Amazon allows you to shop with free Prime shipping. The more baby products you buy, the longer your free shipping gets extended (up to a year). We have found this very useful.
Also, another great program Amazon offers is its ‘Subscribe & Save.’ Along with the Amazon Mom program, if you use this feature you save 30% on your items and they will ship to you every month, two months, three months, etc for free each time. We do this for both our kids’ diapers, wipes and also for our laundry detergent. You can’t get this price anywhere else.
Bonus: If you subscribe to some of the parenting/baby magazines, Amazon has tear away cards (green) with an additional 20% your diaper purchase or $10/off your baby order. I currently know they are in Parents Magazine, Parenting Early Years, Fit Pregnancy, American Baby and Baby Talk. You can use them both together and with the subscribe and save/mom program (30% off) that could mean that your diaper order is 50% off, plus an additional $10. So make sure you sign up for these magazines (most of them are free for new parents). I don’t know how long Amazon will continue to do this promotion.

I agree with your picks! Especially the Bobby Pillow, the What to Expect… books, and the Baby Bjorn!
My husband and I enjoy using the Photobucket photo sharing site and we also use Skype so his family in Minnesota can see our boy often!
I might have to check into Skype, Gretchen. We have a channel on Ustream.tv so our family down in Detroit can see Brody, but it has been freezing up our laptop. There was something in their troubleshooting guide about it that I haven’t looked into yet, but if it isn’t an easy fix we will probably look into Skype!
hi andrea –
what is your selling price on the fetal doppler?
Hi Kristin. I bought it with Brody for $499…and it looks like the price is still the same for this model now. I was thinking about putting it up on EBay with a reserve of $300. Pretty pricey but it’s pro grade and as good as the ones they use at our doctor appointments. The ones you buy at the store are awful in comparison. They are addictive.
